Are you an energetic, compassionate individual looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Female Live-In Support Worker to join our team and provide dedicated support to an individual in their family home in Guisborough.
The person you will be supporting has a brain injury and epilepsy, but these are just part of who they are. Outside of their medical needs, they have a vibrant personality and enjoy activities like visiting the hair salon, going out for pub lunches, hitting the gym, and walking their beloved Labrador. If you're someone who enjoys outdoor activities and is comfortable with animals, this could be the perfect fit!
About the Role:
In this role, you will provide 1:1, high-quality, compassionate care to ensure the individual you support enjoys a fulfilling and independent lifestyle. Your responsibilities will include:
Personal Care & Support: Delivering care tailored to the individual’s specific needs, with a focus on promoting their independence and well-being.
Engaging in Activities: Supporting with hobbies and interests, like gym visits, social outings, and pet care, as well as facilitating new experiences.
Community Involvement: Taking the individual out to encourage social interaction, fostering their connection with the wider community.
Household Support: Assisting with light household tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment.
Communication: Developing a strong, trusting relationship through clear and empathetic communication in their preferred manner.
What We’re Looking For:
Ideally, you will have previous healthcare experience, but we value a caring, enthusiastic attitude above all. We are looking for someone who:
Is passionate about supporting others to lead an independent life.
Enjoys outdoor activities and social outings.
Is comfortable with animals (a Labrador will be part of your day-to-day!).
Has strong communication skills and an empathetic approach to care.
