Job Introduction

Support Worker
Pay rate: £13.50(weekly pay)

Shift Pattern: 

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays – 08:00am to 18:00pm

Wednesdays 07:00-17:00 

Weekends included and potential night shifts

Requirements: Previous children’s experience, has worked with Epilepsy before and need to be fully flexible

Unfortunately, we cannot provide VISA sponsorship and we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in/around the Walsall area and able to commute.

We've got a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an young child who has Severe Global developmental delay living in Walsall. You will be supporting within a school setting and at home.

The position entails providing assistance with medical, Peg feeding, Deep suctioning, personal care, and daily tasks. Requires 2:1 for all manual handling, you will collaborate both independently and as part of a team, working shifts to ensure round-the-clock care.

Key Responsibilities
Support Workers cover all manners of support for others - from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping.

Support with all facets of daily living.

Management of high frequent seizure's

Provide rescue medications

PEG feeding for feeds and medication 

Foster a supportive and inclusive environment.

Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times.

Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members.

confidentiality and respect privacy.

Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided.

Aid with light household chores which may include cooking, cleaning.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Must have UK license and own car.

Previous children’s experience

Experience with epilepsy 

Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.

Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.

Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
