Job Introduction
HR Advisor
Based in Nottingham or surrounding areas | Full-time, permanent, hybrid role
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum
At Acuity Care Group, we believe that HR isn’t just about policies - it’s about people. We’re looking for an HR Advisor who wants to make a real impact: supporting managers, shaping experiences, and being a calm, clear presence when things get challenging (as they sometimes do).
This role isn’t about sitting on the side lines. You’ll be in the thick of it - advising, coaching, analysing, and helping us build a workplace that works for everyone.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting managers, the right way – You’ll be their go-to person on ER cases (disciplinaries, grievances, absence management), policies, and day-to-day questions. You’ll guide, explain, challenge and support.
- Keeping HR systems tight – From paperwork to reporting, you’ll make sure we have accurate, useful data that helps us make better people decisions.
- Being a culture advocate – Help us deliver consistent, people-first practices across onboarding, PDPs, succession planning and engagement. Support key HR initiatives and projects that make a difference.
- Navigating change – Be part of consultations and transformation work, including redundancy processes and TUPE support. It’s about clarity, confidence, and helping people through change well.
- Using insights, not just instinct – You’ll be confident handling data and able to spot patterns in casework, engagement, and performance trends, and feed that back to improve how we do things.
What you bring
- CIPD Level 3 or working toward it, or equivalent experience.
- 2–3 years of HR experience, including at least 1 year in an advisory role.
- Solid understanding of employee relations and key people processes.
- The ability to stay calm, curious, and constructive — especially under pressure.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, regulated environment (healthcare background not required).
- A flexible, professional communication style — you know when to listen, when to push, and when to step back.
What makes this role different?
We’re not just looking for someone to “tick the box.” We want someone who sees the bigger picture and knows how to support people in a way that’s practical and human. You’ll have space to grow, a team that’s got your back, and the chance to influence how HR works across a business that’s going places.
This is your opportunity to grow your HR career in a supportive, fast-moving, and genuinely values-led company.
