Job Introduction

Live in Support Worker

We are looking for a compassionate and committed support worker to join a dedicated team providing 1:1 live-in support for a male with complex clinical needs living in Edwalton.

About the Person You’ll Support:
This individual lives with a spinal injury, brain injury, and experiences autonomic dysreflexia
. Additional needs include seizure management and dysphagia (with modified food and fluids).

They are passionate about an active and fulfilling life, enjoy playing wheelchair rugby, scuba diving, and are currently relearning to play the saxophone so, the ideal candidate will have similar interests.

Interviews will be conducted in person in Nottingham on Wednesday, 16th July 2025. The successful candidate will commence training on Monday, 28th July 2025, subject to the completion of all necessary onboarding checks.


Pay rate: £162.50 per day plus £10 per day food allowance.
Shift Pattern: Live in support worker 4 on and 4 off.

Your Role:

  • Provide 1:1 live-in support on a 4 days on / 4 days off rota
  • Assist with personal care, health needs, daily routines, and activities
  • Support communication and engagement using a variety of accessible methods
  • Promote independence and participation in chosen hobbies and activities
  • Drive for longer journeys (the individual drives their own adapted car for short distances)

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Shares similar interests such as sports and music
  • Has experience or willingness to learn about complex clinical care
  • Is a confident driver with a valid license
  • Is respectful, adaptable, and person-centred in approach
